Editorial Policy
Europe Unfolded exists to report European news accurately, fairly and in plain language. This policy explains the standards every article must meet.
Accuracy first
We never fabricate news, sources, quotations, statistics, author credentials or publication dates. Every figure in an article is either directly reported by the newsroom or attributed to the organisation that published it. Where two credible sources disagree — for example, official and union crowd estimates — we publish both, attributed, and we do not pick one silently.
Original reporting
Articles on this site are original writing by the Europe Unfolded Newsroom. We do not copy other publishers' articles, and we do not reuse other publishers' photographs. Short excerpts from other outlets' coverage may be used in our videos for commentary, under the same approach as broadcast news commentary, and are credited where appropriate.
How every article is written
Every article is researched first and written second. Before writing, the newsroom searches what people are writing on the beat, what is trending nowadays, and what readers like — then writes the article to that beat. Every article must be professional and premium, written story-wise so the reader's curiosity keeps growing: never dashed-off filler, never grab-and-write.
Allegations are not facts
We do not present allegations as established facts. Claims are attributed to the person or body making them, and the response of the other side is sought and reported where available.
Video disclosure
Video reports on the Europe Unfolded YouTube channel use AI-generated voiceover narration. That is disclosed on the videos. Written articles on this website are written by the newsroom, not generated as news by software.
Placeholders are labelled
We do not publish layout samples as stories. If a sample is ever used during design work, it is visibly labelled as an illustrative layout sample, not a news story, and never carries a fake headline, date, author or statistic. Placeholder content is never presented as breaking news.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we correct it openly and promptly, with a dated correction note on the article. See our Corrections Policy.
Advertising and independence
Europe Unfolded does not currently carry advertising. Any future advertising will be lawful, clearly separated from editorial content, and will never influence what we report. No advertising revenue is promised or implied anywhere on this site.
